Batgirl Variant Cover pulled
The highly criticized variant cover for "Batgirl" #41 will not be published by DC Comics, CBR News has learned. This move was made at the request of the cover's artist, Rafael Albuquerque.
The image was released Friday 3/13/15, as one of 25 Joker-themed variant covers scheduled for release in June. Albuquerque's "Batgirl" variant took inspiration from Alan Moore and Brian Bolland's famous 1988 story "Batman: The Killing Joke," in which Barbara Gordon/Batgirl was shot and paralyzed by the Joker. It has been commonly interpreted, though not definitively established within the story, that the character was also sexually assaulted.

Death of a Ninja Legend
In the pages of today's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #44, Donatello was killed in a battle with Bebop and Rocksteady.
The series, by writers Tom Waltz and TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman, has committed to being more grounded in order to harken back to the original series, and this violent development certainly keeps in line with that.
As for how it happened, Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo were trying to stop Krang from terraforming the planet using the alien "Technodrome," leaving Donatello running command from their home base. Shredder had ordered Bebop and Rocksteady to kill Donatello if anything went wrong, and sure enough, something did.
Donatello tried to fight them off, even getting some help from Metalhead (being controlled by scientist Harold Lillia), but the duo was too much. The killing blow came when Rocksteady smashed his shell with a sledgehammer.

What happened after Endor?

Aftermath will be the first book in a trilogy that begins to bridge theStar Wars timeline between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.
Comments: When Disney bought the Star Wars franchise and decided to make new movies they announced they were ending the existing Star Wars expanded universe which includes over 100 books, comics, and short stories. Not to mention the numerous video game like KOTR. This previous expanded universe covered some great stories including the original characters having children.

Nintendo’s new console
At a press conference announcing their big mobile gaming deal, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata has also spoken briefly (and surprisingly) about Nintendo's next piece of dedicated hardware.
Commentary: Nintendo’s finally getting into the mobile phone arena. Many emulators playing Nintendo games so why not cash in on a pretty obvious market. Nice to know though that Nintendo is not abandoning the console side. Feel this announcement is trying to calm fears no one has though. Don’t think anyone ever thought that just because they were going to release old NES games on the iphone that they were abandoning the console.

IBM builds own currency?
Reuters reports that IBM is considering adopting Bitcoin's blockchain technology to create a new digital cash and payment system. "IBMCoin" would allow users to send money anywhere in the world without having to use a third party that charges service fees.

JAPANESE SCIENTISTS BEAM ENERGY THROUGH AIR
Japanese scientists have succeeded in transmitting energy wirelessly, in a key step that could one day make solar power generation in space a possibility, an official said Thursday.
Researchers used microwaves to deliver 1.8 kilowatts of power—enough to run an electric kettle—through the air with pinpoint accuracy to a receiver 55 metres (170 feet) away.

LIQUID 3D PRINTING—REMINDS ME OF T2 TERMINATOR
A new company called Carbon3D hopes to change that, though, with a new 3D printing method that claims to be 25-100 times faster than other resin printing techniques.
The start-up has just emerged from stealth, 3Dprint reports, announcing its new technique called Continuous Liquid Interface Production. CLIP seems to build on an existing 3D printing technique which uses photosensitive resin and a laser to cure it into a solid. But unlike similar techniques, which perform that process layer-by-layer, CLIP uses laser light to cure along with oxygen to inhibit the process—allowing it to actually print in 3 dimensions at once.
