Feds May define Computer as ‘Driver’ in Self-Driving Car

Reuters reports that the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) sent a letter to Google on Feb. 4 about driverless cars. The letter says "NHTSA will interpret 'driver' in the context of Google's described motor vehicle design as referring to the (self-driving system), and not to any of the vehicle occupants.” The next step would be to formally rewrite regulations requiring things like steering wheels and foot pedals.

FBI Employee data leaked

On Sunday a data dump was posted on Twitter containing the names, titles, email addresses and phone numbers of more than 9,000 US Department of Homeland Security employees. The Twitter account said it would post data from 20,000 US FBI employees next. The data was also sent to Motherboard which confirmed the data was legitimate. The source compromised an email account and then socially engineered access to a US Department of Justice staff portal.

Facebook’s International problems

·       France data protection

o   Reuters reports France’s data protection authority has given Facebook three months to stop tracking non-users Web activity without their consent. The company was also ordered to stop transferring data to the US on the basis of the Safe Harbour agreement declared invalid in October.

·       India Kicks Out Facebook Free Basic

Stream Torrents from your Browser

The Pirate Bay has added beta compatibility with the Torrents Time software. If you have Torrents Time installed you can click on a ‘stream it’ option from any listing and begin watching the video in the browser. The video can also be sent to Chromecast or AirPlay. Popcorn Time Online, Torrentproject, Videomax and Online Porntime have also added support for Torrents Time. The majority of content found on these search engines may be protected by copyright laws but the system can be used for legal content as well. But that doesn't matter to Netherlands' anti-piracy group BREIN, which VentureBeat reports sent Torrents Time a cease and desist. Torrents Time responded denying allegations of illegality and refusing to comply

Netflix Hitler show in April

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Look Who's Back," which is based on a best-selling 2012 novel, "Er ist wieder da," will come to the streaming service in April.

The film follows Adolf Hitler as he wakes up in 2011 with no memory of anything since 1945. Hitler (played by German actor Oliver Masucci), poor and alone in the world, ends up landing a show on TV after others mistake him for a comedian. Little do they know he's the real deal.
