The Furby Movie?!?

Remember those creepy eyes alien looking toys from your youth? Ferbys? Well, The Weinstein Company is developing a Furby movie!

Starship Troopers Remake in works

(Play Video 2)

The Hollywood Reporter says writers Mark Swift and Damian Shannon, who penned the upcoming Baywatch movie and the 2009 Friday the 13th reboot, have been hired by producer Neal H. Moritz to write a new adaptation of the original Robert A. Heinlein novel. That means, while it’s easiest to describe the film as a remake of the 1997 Paul Verhoeven film, it really isn’t.

Both the novel and the movie were about a future where humans travel into space to fight alien bugs.

Workaholics ending

It’s retirement time for Workaholics. Or at least it will be after season 7 wraps up.

Variety reports that the Comedy Central series is ending its run after 2017’s stockpile of episodes runs dry.

Olivia Munn cast in Predator movie

According to THR, Munn will be playing a scientist opposite Holbrook’s special forces commando. They also offered a brief plot description for the film, saying that the story, which takes place 30 years after the events of the original film, "plunks the deadly alien hunter, who audiences have seen fight in jungles, concrete jungles, frozen wastelands and alien planets, in the harsh environment of … suburbia."

Johnny Depp to appear in Fantastic Beasts movie

The internet is a buzz with news that Johnny Depp will be playing a major role in the upcoming Fantastic Beast and Where to Find them franchise. Gellert Grindelwald, a dark wizard whom Dumbledore beat in a duel to win the Elder Wand, and though he only has a small role in the first film, he'll be a major force in the franchise. The first movie reportedly mentions Grindelwald's attacks in Europe via newspaper headlines, so it checks out that the sequel would head over there and continue telling that story.

And yes, according to Hypable, Johnny Depp will be playing Grindelwald. They say we'll only see the back of his head in the first Fantastic Beasts (a shot we've already seen at 3:23 in this featurette), but he'll presumably have a much bigger part to play in future films. No word yet on who's playing young Dumbledore, but that ought to be a particularly interesting bit of casting news for fans.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them arrives in theaters on November 18, 2016.

New Wonder Woman Trailer

(Play Video 3)

Diana Prince goes to war in the new official trailer for Wonder Woman.

The film, which takes place during World War I, begins around the time of Batman v Superman, with Prince looking at an old photo of her and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine). “I used to want to save the world. This beautiful place,” Prince, played by Gal Gadot, says in the trailer. “But the closer you get, the more you see the great darkness within. I learned this the hard way, a long, long time ago.”

What follows is a trip back in time and a glimpse at the action-heavy DC Extended Universe film from Patty Jenkins. In the trailer, Wonder Woman fights to help Trevor and his comrades defeat a greater evil.
