Swiss Army Man- Red Band Trailer

This is the Red Band trailer for the movie but the only thing I could see that is any edgier than the regular trailer was that the characters use Daniel Radcliffe's penis as a compass to find their way home. Still, a delightfully weird buddy road movie.

A hopeless man stranded in the wilderness befriends a dead body and together they go on a surreal journey to get home.

In theaters June 24th.

Captain Fantastic

The Killing Joke

Doctor Strange Official Teaser Trailer

Our first look at footage from the Marvel film Doctor Strange. It’s 1:56 of magical goodness. We see Stephen Vincent Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) go from broken surgeon to sorcerer supreme with the help of the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton). The visuals remind us of the reality altering effects found in Inception.

In theaters Nov. 4th, 2016.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

The more we see of this movie the more we like it. In addition to the battle with Shredder and the aliens led by Krang there is a subplot of the turtles wanting to be human.

In theaters May 15th, 2016.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

The trailer is the briefest glimpse into the American magical society of the 1920’s. From the fiction released on the Pottermore site we’re sure to see issues of magical segregation and secrecy in the film.

In theaters Nov. 18th, 2016.

Suicide Squad trailer 2

First Bohemian Rhapsody, now Ballroom Blitz. The Suicide Squad seems to have the most fun music from the 1970’s.

In theaters Aug. 5th, 2016.

Star Wars: Rogue One

Rogue One is a Star Wars prequel set right before Episode 4. It is the story of the Rebel team sent to steal the plans for the first Death Star. The latest trailer shows a dirty dozen style team infiltrating and battling the Empire. Jinn Asa, a rebel among rebels, leads the team. We also see a bounty hunter, a samurai, a pilot, and Forest Whitaker as a veteran fighter.

The BFG

Finally, a full trailer has been released for The BFG. It was worth the wait. The mostly CG film has tons of heart and has me wanting to be swept away by a kind giant.

Synopsis: A girl named Sophie encounters the Big Friendly Giant who, despite his intimidating appearance, turns out to be a kindhearted soul who is considered an outcast by the other giants because unlike his peers refuses to eat boys and girls.

In theaters July 1st.

Swiss Army Man

This is a weird, charming mash up of Castaway and Weekend at Bernie’s. We love it! Harry Potter, aka Daniel Radcliff, is a corpse found by a lost traveler that he uses to survive. While this sounds kina gross, the trailer shows that corpse Daniel Radcliff starts talking, gaining abilities, and even a fart based rocket power.

Release date: June 17, 2016 (USA)

Blackway

An ex-logger comes to the aid of a woman who returns to her hometown in the Pacific Northwest and finds herself harassed and stalked by a former cop turned crime lord.

The trailer is surprisingly suspenseful. It’s Ray Liotta versus Anthony Hopkins and Julia Stiles on June 10th, 2016.
